Job Description

The Solutions Engineers work closely with our Sales organization to provide technical solutions for our prospective and existing customers. Our Sales engineers are responsible for designing solutions that will address and resolve a customer's business issues, while evoking confidence in our technology platform and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how our technology can solve business issues, possess a consultative sales approach, and value the importance of team work. This position is critical to the success of our sales organization in describing and showing how we provide cost effective solutions that deliver business value to our clients.

Duties and responsibilities:

?? Be the Pre Sales Solution Engineering technical focal point for Birst in the French region.

?? Work as part of the EMEA and Global Solution Engineering Team, providing valuable input to the community, creating demonstrations, providing skills transfer, provide assistance in opportunities where necessary.

?? Support prospective opportunities in the French region, direct and partner led. Engagement through the full opportunity life cycle from initial discovery calls and opportunity validation through demonstrations, RFP/RFI responses, hands-on Proof of Concepts / Pilot Projects and technical workshops.

?? Support local marketing and lead generation activities, Webex Demonstrations, Seminars, Analyst Events, Partner Events

?? Manage relations with consultants, developers, operational personnel and technology leadership (CTO, CIO, Directors etc.) within prospect organisations and be comfortable in working with all levels of the client organisation including partner community.

?? Provide feedback on product features and priorities to the product management and development team.

?? Create and maintain positive customer relationships

?? Maintain the vision for the solution through the implementation by liaising with Professional Services and Partner organisations


Essential Skills:

?? Experience in a client facing, consultative role

?? Experience of several full Business Intelligence / Data Management project life-cycle implementations.

?? Excellent communication skills

?? Strong organizational skills & time management skills

?? Strong oral and written communication that effectively articulates complex ideas.

?? Ability to work independently and as a part of a team but also self-motivated

?? Team player with the ability to build strong peer and interpersonal relationships.

?? Excellent problem solving and analytic skills.

?? Excellent knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Management ETL / ELT concepts, Business Intelligence Solutions

?? Experience of designing and implementing Business Intelligence based solutions especially Cloud based solutions.

?? Excellent understanding of the Business Intelligence market

French Speaking.

Additional Information

Knowledge of some of the following would be highly desirable:

?? Data Warehousing and ETL Tools (Talend, Informatica, Business Objects Data Services, Ab Initio, Trifacta, Paxata)

?? Relational database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Exasol, Hana)

?? Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Azure

?? Integrating Solutions with Web Services, JSON, Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, SAP, Hadoop

?? Knowledge of building D3 Components

?? Background developing Business Intelligence solutions in Business Objects, Microstrategy, Qlik, Talend, Board, Tibco Spotfire or equivalent

?? Experience with R, SAS or Weka
