My Client is an established private medical clinic that is looking for a Medical Secretary to join their busy team. Working with a small team this practice deals with families , individuals and companies and is based in a calm and tranquil setting right in the heart of the West end.
The role will involve looking after the doctors outgoing correspondence and liaising with their external typing service as well as formatting and proofreading letters and occasionally typing any urgent ones. You will maintain the schedule for contacting patients about tests, print and prepare letters and ensure all letters are checked and approved by the doctors. With this varied role you will also be managing patients` requests and scanning and distributing patients` correspondence. As it is a small team you would be asked to help out in other areas at times, so you would be required to greet patients, occasionally invoice patients; manage patient records and book appointment amongst various other ad hoc duties.
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate in the Medical/English or History field with some secretarial/editorial experience. You will be an excellent written and verbal communicator with great attention to detail and be flexible and eager to learn. Excellent grammar skills as well as good experience of using Microsoft office is a must. Reliable and compassionate you must be willing to help out and be a good team player. You will be an upbeat person passionate to learn and contribute when necessary to assist the team. In return they will support and develop you through each stage of your role.
The salary is £25k with benefits such as free gym and subsidised canteen.
