A not for profit fostering service is looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join their growing team.

Easily accessible with great road and rail links, it is close to the M4 and M40 and is commutable from the West Country and London.

The role of Supervising Social Worker is a key role within their fostering and adoption teams:

You will be an experienced, self-motivated and creative Social Worker and will be responsible for the supervision, management and support of foster carers to include regular supervisions with them, Annual Reviews, matching of children and working with a range of professionals involved in each case. In addition you will take part in the duty system, participate in support groups and carers training.

Please note that this role does not include carer recruitment or assessment.

You will be / have:

  • A qualified social worker
  • HCPC registered
  • Post qualifying experience working within children's services
  • Good understanding of the fostering process and sector
  • Ideally have post qualifying experience within fostering services, either from a Local Authority or IFA
  • An excellent communicator, negotiator and problem-solver
  • A car owner / driver

Salary is to cGBP38,000 + retention bonus + government pension scheme. Other benefits include free on site parking, paid HCPC registration and a generous leave entitlement. There is also the option of flexible working.
