The Manager Research team assists in driving our clients' decision making by sourcing the most appropriate ideas and ensuring we have the best solutions to implement them. We have one of the largest teams in the industry with over 100 researchers across the world's major investment hubs following one global, integrated research process. Our expertise is built on a foundation of in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis, combining a thorough understanding of each asset class with the ability to identify skilled investment managers.

The Role

We currently have a unique opportunity for a Senior Analyst to operate across our Real Asset and Credit research teams. The main focus is on researching and forming views on investment strategies (funds, mandates or co-investments). This will involve interviewing some of the most highly respected investment managers around the world. The candidate will be helping to form robust opinions on investment managers and their underlying investments leading to recommendations for our clients. As an important member of our research team, the candidate will be expected to develop our intellectual know-how, become a subject matter expert and also remain heavily engaged in financial market developments. The candidate will develop a close working relationship with our internal investment manager research, asset class research and portfolio management teams to help identify, assess and implement investment opportunities.

Role objectives

  • Source and analyse investment opportunities across credit and real assets via funds, separate accounts or co-investments
  • Critically assess fund managers' investment teams, ownership, investment processes and risk management. Understand expected returns and risk drivers.
  • Extract and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to help decision making
  • Produce investment recommendations and participate in investment committee discussions
  • Organise and prioritise your workload

Job Requirements The Requirements

  • 2+ years of credit and/or real asset experience through consulting, fund management or research
  • Self starter who can balance a varied workload
  • Strong financial understanding
  • Ability to assess problems from a quantitative and qualitative perspective
  • Enquiring and analytical mind
  • Graduate, not necessarily in a mathematical or business discipline
