Business Analyst - Financial Service - Documentation - London - Contract

A tier 1 investment banking firm with a global remit are currently in the process of hiring Business Analysts with strong experience working on Client Onboarding projects and documentaion. This leading bank currently employees around 135,000 individuals and is active in over 45 countries in the world.


* Help the business to define the business requirements to support the projects delivery, challenging their assumptions and preconceptions to get to the underlying business problems/opportunities
* Work with the Business SMEs to understand the business problem provided in the business requirements, ensuring these items are documented to a high standard
* Model Business processes taking into account metrics and timings and seeking opportunities to reengineer and improve business processes
* Define the impacts of proposed change on the business teams in terms of people, process and technology impacts to the business operating model, articulate the impacts to business leaders and help plan the activity to be ready to change.
* Supports the programme management with impact assessment for change requests on design, scope, time, budget or effort on programme plan and provides accurate estimates for handling new requirements, design changes and scope
* Ensure all requirements have suitable benefits associated with it and full traceability on ownership of requirement and success criteria for each requirement
* Analyse and manage the impact of changing requirements.
* Operate within a peer review environment to ensure the quality of deliverables
* Support and implement the business analysis best practices/standards within the wider BA team.
* Support UAT - acting as an owner of the requirements within the project team.
* Understand stakeholder needs and communicate to all stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Essential skills

* Experience of analysis in an investment bank working in the client on-boarding domain.
* Experience of running a global analysis team to similar size.
* Ability to critically review process and controls
* Ability to identify issues and find solutions
* Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
* Self-motivated and able to prioritise
* Organised and structured approach
* Ability to input into and drive change
* Ability to challenge and question in a constructive way
* Strong MS Office skills, especially using PowerPoint and Excel
* Experience of working in an Operations environment would be useful to this role, although not mandatory
* Knowledge of the client on-boarding process and post execution documentation process would be desirable
* Knowledge of Collateral business processes and documentation would be desirable
* Excellent client service and communication skills.
