We are looking to hire a Junior Execution Trader to work on the trading desk for a top-seeded Systematic CTA, reporting to the Head of Execution.

Salary GBP35-45k, plus bonus and healthcare benefits


The role encompasses end-to-end execution trading, including pre- and post-trade analysis, executing model signals via off-the-shelf and in-house developed broker execution algorithms. A keen interest in both commodity and financial markets is also of paramount importance. The trading process is focused on automation and the right candidate will be able to continuously contribute to improving the way the fund trades. The execution desk is responsible for trading both FX forwards and global listed futures across a multitude of exchanges in different time zones.

Other responsibilities include

- Research and analysis on new products and markets
- Liquidity and transaction cost analysis
- Position and P&L monitoring
- Start and End of day P&L recap emails along with data releases reporting
- The automation of tools and processes


- Excellent academics - First or Upper Second Class Undergraduate degree, ideally in economics, maths, computer science etc.
- Experience working in a front office capacity at a sell-side or buy-side firm, including previous experience of execution of exchange-traded products
- The ideal candidate will have worked as a cross-asset execution trader, have used execution algorithms before and possess a wider understanding of the systematic trading and CTA market space
- Good overall knowledge of exchange traded derivatives (mainly futures) and FX forwards in the OTC market
- Extremely reliable and a very high attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of Bloomberg - must understand TCA and how to go about getting information from Bloomberg for that analysis
- Excellent all round computer skills
- Ideally able to perform miscellaneous analysis in Matlab/R, though not essential
- Some programming experience in Excel/VBA, or Java/C# or similar a definite plus point
