Full-time post, 17 months fixed term contract No First Night out is an innovative project in East London, focused on tackling rough sleeping with an emphasis on prevention, so clients accepted onto the project have no need to spend even a first night out on the street. The project was awarded DCLG funding in March 2015, and after a year running as a pilot, has recently moved to a full operational model. The project has been externally evaluated by St Mungo's and has been promoted by central government as an effective approach to tackling pre-rough sleeping. In December we were awarded additional funding to continue the work for a further 2 years and bring more partners on board. We are seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead the project, deliver outcomes and co-ordinate the work of the three boroughs involved - City of London, Hackney and Tower Hamlets. We are looking for a strong project manager, with excellent communication skills who can focus on achieving outcomes in a challenging environment. A key part of the work is developing accommodation pathways for clients accepted onto the project. The role is based at City of London, but will involve working across the three boroughs. Closing date: 12 Noon on Friday, 29 September 2017 Interviews will be held on Thursday 5 October 2017. For more information and to apply, visit our website. This post are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process the successful applicants will be required to obtain an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure. The City of London Corporation is committed to Equal Opportunities and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
