We are working with one of the world's leading payment providers who are delivering a PSD2 compliant and secure open banking platform. This company was originally founded, and is now lead by (as CEO), a recognised leader in financial technology who already has multiple billion pounds exits to his name from companies he has built and some technology he has personally designed. They are looking for a Senior Java Developer or Architect with a background in APIs design/development and some knowledge of secure communication to help with the technical implementation, and integration, of their platform with major financial services and retailers/merchants. The systems uses a Token based public/private key system to make transactions immediate, secure and PSD2 compliant by default. Their customers are major financial institutions, larger retailers/merchants and individual consumers. As well as the secure, and open, API/communication platform between businesses they offer a consumer facing platform to unify all existing financial accounts into one, manageable and secure web app. What they are looking for from you: Strong knowledge of OO Java programming Experience with API design for complex systems Some understanding of secure communication (HTTPS, Token based Auth, Public/Private keys) Aptitude for, or experience in, a client facing role Interest in working in Fin-Tech and open banking Whilst not a product engineering role, this position will be technical working directly with customer engineering to understand how the platform/APIs can be integrated into their existing systems, then working with them and the in-house dev team to design and deliver the implementation. The platform has won multiple international awards for innovation in financial technology already. They are heavily funded and boast some of the brightest, and most successful, minds in the industry.
