Data Scientist (R&D Python R Octave/Matlab NLP Algorithm Java). Leading software house is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to conduct optimisation and validation of new algorithmic concepts, converting them to fully productionised and deployable implementations. As a Data Scientist you will be a key player in delivering an innovative product that utilises Big Data algorithms, social networking and Cloud computing to allow enterprise-scale clients to manage their technical infrastructure remotely. Constantly explore new techniques and technologies, you will find and address potential issues before they happen. Based in Surrey / South West London, this is a technology-driven environment where you will be encouraged to explore new technologies and techniques to deliver cutting-edge front-ends to wow the industry. Requirements for a Data Scientist: • Java programming skills • Strong data science skills, including one of: Natural Language Processing, Classification, Anomaly Detection or Graph Theory • Good understanding of SQL • Multi-threading experience • Familiar with one of: Python, R or Octave/Matlab • Degree educated, ideally studied to MSc/PhD level • Experience of NLP would be desirable As a Data Scientist your contribution will be recognised with a competitive salary (to GBP65k), plus bonus and benefits including private healthcare, employee pension scheme, regular free lunches and in-house table football and table tennis.
