      Job Title: Financial consultant and Investment Analyst

      Location: London, UK

Position summary:

Help clients accomplish financial objectives by assessing financial situation, developing and presenting financial strategies and plans; monitoring changes in financial status and life circumstances.

Forecast the likely long-short term future performance of securities and other financial products and advise upon what will be appropriate investment for clients.

Specific investment and tax planning for trust structure.

Investment planning having regard to international tax planning and application of double tax treaties; withholding tax reclaim.

Responsible for: investment strategy, research works and investment reporting

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop new financial forecast models tailor-made on clients' needs, having a focus on tax consequences

• Conduct investment research

• Research target company's products and set out competitive landscape and market

• Analyze the financial position of clients and prospects using these models

• Advise on merits of trust and succession planning instruments that best meet needs of client given their personal circumstances

• Assesses clients' financial situation by gathering information regarding investments, asset allocation, savings, tax planning, retirement planning and succession planning; evaluating risk tolerance

• Develops financial strategies by guiding client to establish financial goals; matching goals to situation with appropriate financial plans

• Monitors clients' financial situation by tracking changes in wealth and life circumstances

• Conduct idea generation, financial analysis, and assess a company's strategic positioning while identifying inflection points in fundamentals. Track and closely follow company developments, including earnings reports, corporate actions, competitive dynamics and other events impacting portfolio holdings and potential investments

• Portfolio risk analytics and risk attribution

• Conduct investment research, primarily focus on fundamental valuation and macro research

• Develop various investment reviews to illustrate portfolio positioning investment themes and tactical trades and content of monthly investment meeting including performance,allocations portfolio, risk metrics and contribution

• Increase productivity by developing automated applications

• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

• Accomplish finance and organization mission by completing related results on time

• Present summary of the work done and the resulting recommendations in the appropriate reporting   format for directors and clients

• Provide consulting services and support to clients

• Promote products to attract new clients, developing new business opportunities

• Provide technical support to colleagues and clients

Ancillary Responsibilities

• Maintain interest in the current states of financial and capital markets, monitoring information on the socio-economic environment and interpret the implications of such information for the clients

• Articulate ideas and solutions to colleagues regarding business issues

• Write and publish technical articles for industry magazines

 

Requirements

• A strong economic - mathematical/quantitative background

• Master in Financial Mathematics/Mathematics/Physics

• Master in Finance degree from top-tier school/university

• CFA charter holder

• Certificate on Trust and succession/retirement planning instruments knowledge and taxation of Trust

• Certificate on International Taxation/Double taxation treaties knowledge

• Experience in international financial market

• Experience in actuarial profession and/or modeling

• ALM/risk management knowledge

• High understanding of the probability theory and statistics

• Analytical skills with a high level of problem solving capability

• Excellent fundamental analysis and primary research skills

• Knowledge of portfolio risk analytics, risk attribution and stochastic portfolio modelling

• Economic forecasting skills

• Process Improvement, Financial Planning and Strategy skills

• Understanding of the economic relationships or a readiness to learn these

• Open-mindedness and an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

• Open to change and eager to learn, committed to continuing education

• An ability to work on one's own and as a part of a team

• Ability to cope with pressure

• Good communication skills: fluent English and German language (spoken and written); good Russian

• Basic knowledge of Italian language or availability to learn it

• Good technical IT skills and programming experience, experience working with Bloomberg and Microsoft Office packages, including VBA programming

• Travel demands of 30 - 40% expected annually
