ROLE PURPOSE

This role will be working within the Data workstream which covers the end-to-end business lifecycle with a particular focus on Data and Entity Management. The focus of the role is to work with the business and IT on the establishment and implementation of a common standard global operating model and provide functional data requirements and solutions to support the OMS migration and deployment of Decision Support tools for all asset classes. The candidate will need to elicit, analyse and document requirements (including functional specifications, data dictionaries, design documents etc.), subsequently communicate these artefacts to interested parties and implement the proposed solutions. The candidate will have an in-depth Asset Management background with experience of Data and Entity Management in particular Account Data and Broker Data management and maintenance. Interfacing existing or new manual procedures into the Client Account Master database via a (to be developed) API will also be a key deliverable of this role.

RESPONSABILITIES

Ability to identify and understand complex business problems and opportunities. This includes the ability to articulate the needs that are associated with the key data related issues and technical or process problems to be solved
Analytical skills necessary for problem solving and proposing business and technology solutions. Includes analysing existing uses cases and systems logic with a view to redesign and/or automation, optimisation etc.
Knowledge of Asset Management data and supporting technologies
A good facilitator and strong communication skills that allow for both business and technical discussions to be held
Interpersonal skills and the ability to form good working relationships with individuals within AMG Global Asset Management
Familiarity with software development methodologies & standards
Good understanding of financial derivatives and common underlying instruments include: bonds, commodities, currencies, interest rates, market indexes and stocks
Customers / Stakeholders

Complete project reporting on work stream - provide appropriate management of the work stream to ensure core deliverables and associated outcomes are achieved for the business.

Build strong relationships with, and influence, stakeholders whilst knowing when it is appropriate to flex or stand firm on critical issues.

Working with IT and the business to develop and implement solutions and processes to maximise service levels to end user communities.
Leadership & Teamwork
?? The role holder will work closely with colleagues in the regions so will need to be able to work effectively remotely and across timezones.
?? The role holder will also be expected to achieve results without having necessarily the authority to approve use of resources, through influence and persuasion.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

An individual with a proven track record of delivering business based projects, across geographies, timezones and with multiple stakeholders
An understanding of the asset management Front Office and the data required to support all asset classes
An individual with a high client centric approach
Confidence and track record in building solid working relationships with key stakeholders, securing project resources or priorities from them through persuasion and influence rather than necessarily authority
Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings
Self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and who can influence and motivate people around them
Good presentation skills & Problem solver
Adaptable and can thrive in a diverse work environment

Management of Risk

?? Identify and develop solutions to mitigate the risks identified as part of the project implementation approach, reporting and escalating, if necessary, issues for resolution.

Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)
?? Maintainsinternal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
??
