You will be working with the Accountant and be part of a small team providing financial, HR and administration services for the charity. Main Job Purpose To manage Feba's day-to-day income and provide regular up-to-date financial information about current income as well as analysis of trends and forecasts in accordance with Christian principles of stewardship. Key Responsibilities Financial bookkeeping: manage Feba's day to day income including posting of invoices, and other financial transactions within agreed limits. Handling all automated and online supporter donations as per Feba process. Gift Aid administration. Provision of various regular financial reports from ThankQ (CRM software) and Quickbooks (accounting software). Premises management: organise and maintain efficient systems to ensure Feba's obligations as an employer and business are met. Including waste management and contracts/contractors management. Fulfil various general administrative and operational tasks within the wider organisation as required, including but not limited to the occasional provision of cover for colleagues. Any other reasonable duties, within the interests of Feba, as required by management. Our Faith It's really important to us that you're as passionate about what we do as we are. Person Specification Experience Essential experience of detailed working with financial accounts/bookkeeping strongly IT literate including business packages such as Excel, Word, Outlook experience of using financial software Desirable experience of working in finance within a charity including Gift Aid claims experience of processing bulk credits (or debits) such as standing orders and direct debits experience of using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to produce reports experience and/or good understanding of bank reconciliation Skills/Abilities Essential excellent numerical competency ability to work to high standards of accuracy at a detailed level good understanding of handling, interpreting and reporting financial information excellent time management and organisational skills, to prioritise and manage competing deadlines ability to be part of a small team but also to work autonomously with a willingness to contribute to overall team performance ability to lead, participate and facilitate in collective staff prayer and bible studies Desirable relationship building with people remotely over the phone and email analytical and problem solving skills ability to see areas for system/process improvement Personal qualities committed Christian with a personal and vibrant relationship with God regular participation in fellowship with other Christians understanding of and commitment to Feba's vision, mission, values and approach ability to work flexibly, on own initiative and as part of a team ability to remain calm and work under pressure Circumstances the right to live and work in the United Kingdom Contractual details Salary GBP20,000 pro-rata (0.5 of full time) Hours: 17.5 per week preferably mornings to be worked over 4 to 5 days Pension Scheme (contributory) 28 days holiday each year pro-rata, plus bank holidays 1 day (paid and funded) retreat time each year Probationary period (6 months) This role will be based within the Worthing office Other employee support initiatives, such as childcare vouchers How to apply If you believe you've got what we're looking for and you're excited by who we are and what we do, then we'd love to hear from you!
