An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 'Head Housekeeper' to join our housekeeping team, where no day is the same! Preparing 34 rooms for guests ensuring absolute perfection at all times, making it a home from home experience for all our guests. This is a hands-on role, reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, you will take full responsibility for the cleanliness and up keeping of exceptional standards across all bedrooms and communal areas. Some of your responsibilities are listed below Responsible for all recruitment, training, standards, and employee motivationManaging a team in order to make sure the home is at a high standard of cleanliness at all timesManaging a weekly rotaOrdering new stock and suggesting improvements to the venueDuty manager shiftsYou will lead by example ensuring both yourself and others have the highest levels of cleanliness and attention to detail & pride in their workYou will be happy to take on responsibilities not within the core specification of the role Experience and Skills required*Candidates should have previous management experience in a similar environment at either Head or Deputy Housekeeper level. An ability to work under pressure and to lead, delegate and direct a team to deliver a high standard of service are essential, as is the ability to communicate at all levels with tact and discretion.Personal Characteristics *Possess excellent proven interpersonal, communication and listening skills and able to work successfully with people at all levels.* Be able to work weekends *Self-motivated and able to prioritise both own workload as well as plan and organise departmental duties*Take a pro-active and flexible approach as well as be able to work under pressure *Smart, courteous with a fantastic eye for detailSkills-good interpersonal skills, ,team leadership, Previous Management experinceSectors
