Night Concierges GBP19,281 - GBP20,546 per annum 37.5 hours per week At St Mungo's our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives. We're looking to recruit Night Concierges across various services in London. We have opportunities available in 2 services based in Lewisham and 1 service based in Southwark, on a full-time, permanent basis. In these roles you'll be responsible for providing first contact and safeguarding clients at night, including dealing with emergencies. You'll undertake regular health and safety checks on patrols and through monitoring the CCTV system. You will also have responsibility for maintaining a full and accurate log of events and reporting on incidents and any maintenance issues. We are looking for peope who have good communication skills and an understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable clients. You will need to be able to interact in a positive and friendly manner with people with mental health needs, and be passionate about working in a service that supports vulnerable adults. You should have a basic level of numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to use your initiative; to identify the appropriate action to take in various situations. You'll also be expected to be punctual, awake and alert at all times during your shift and act with integrity, within our policies and procedures. Flexibility is required, as you'll be working a shift rota that includes weekends and public holidays. In addition some of the roles will involve lone working.
