The Team Located within the Finance & Projects Division, our Banking Group is a national team with significant resource in each of our offices in London, Leeds and Manchester. The Group acts for a wide variety of banks and financial institutions. We also act for some of the Firm's corporate and property clients in relation to their financing requirements. Our Requirements We are looking for an experienced associate, with at least five years' experience of banking law, to work on a variety of banking matters, but with a primary focus on corporate banking and leveraged finance representing banks, financial institutions, debt funds, alternative lenders and private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers. Our ideal candidate will have a strong track record in corporate banking, leveraged finance and private equity backed transactions. You will also have experience of documenting and negotiating a range of corporate debt facilities, preferably for both lenders and borrowers. Ideally, you will have experience of managing a team of less experienced lawyers and of leading on transactions, therefore experience of managing client relationships is a must. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required You will have strong academics and have gained at least five years' Banking and Finance experience at a City or leading national practice recognised for banking work, or be working in a Commonwealth country and looking to relocate.
