Department: Penrose Criminal Justice Services Work Location: London CRC and Penrose Community Hub - Wembley Salary: GBP22,865 Per annum (rising to to GBP25,500 after 12 months service) Contract: Permanent Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week Shift pattern: between 09:00 to 17:30 About the role: Penrose Criminal Justice Services are recruiting for Community Responsible Officer posts in North and West London. Working in partnership with the London Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) and MTCNovo, our service supports adult males sentenced to 12 months or less to resettle into the community and to break the cycle of reoffending. We provide guidance and support with a wide range of issues, from accommodation to training to financial advice, signposting our clients to relevant services in their area, as well as supporting them with any referral processes. We engage with agencies both within the CRC and across London, tailoring a package of support to best meet each individual's needs. CROs are trained in risk management and de-escalation and can also initiate enforcement proceedings when necessary. We are looking for motivated staff who want to want to deliver services differently, and develop new skills in the process. Our Community Resettlement Hub provides a platform to deliver a wide range of innovative interventions and services that offer something in addition to the traditional one-to-one appointment model. As well as seeing clients in their designated CRC offices, Community Responsible Officers support the delivery of effective interventions at the Hub and will receive training in facilitating groups. The role will be based predominantly in the designated CRC offices, with 1-2 days per week spent at the Penrose Community Rehabilitation Hub in Wembley. All CROs receive a holistic training package before they are able to manage a caseload of clients, and Penrose is committed to continual professional development through additional training, supervisions and appraisals.
