The Group Accountant is required to support the Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Accountant on all matters concerning the accounting and financial reporting for the company.

Reporting to the Chief Accountant:

??Involvement in accounting for group holding companies and subsidiaries.

??Involvement in production of quarterly and annual statutory accounts for submission to the London stock exchange

??Management of the group consolidation process (including approval of all accounting entries).

??Preparation of parts of the quarterly management report and providing commentaries to management.

??Provision of additional explanations and analysis as required.

??Involvement in maintenance of the Company's interest rate and FX hedge portfolio in compliance with FRS102 (depending on experience).

??Maintenance of the Company's lease portfolio and production of new lease schedules as required.

??Researching technical accounting issues and preparation of accounting memos for non-routine commercial transactions.

??Production of schedules for Corporation tax filings

??Assisting the CAO and CA in maintaining the Group's compliance with New UK GAAP

??Liaising with external auditors and preparation of audit support schedules and working papers.

??Assistance in ad hoc projects as required.

Who we're looking for

You must be an ACA qualified accountant and have a strong academic history with up to two years PQE. The ideal candidate will be from a Big Four accounting firm with a strong financial reporting background and be familiar with hedge and/or lease accounting. Sound IT literacy is essential including a strong working knowledge of Excel. You must be able to problem solve, be a good team player, have an eye for detail and enjoy tackling new challenges.
