The department Our team of business services staff play a significant role in the success of Dentons, and we recruit staff into a wide variety of areas. Purpose of role The purpose of this role is to manage global treasury activities on behalf of the Dentons Group (a Swiss Verein). Responsibilities The responsibilities of this role includes: Develop global treasury management policies and an annual financing plan for the Dentons Group covering capital, liquidity, debt and foreign exchange risk management activities. Develop combined financial accounts, collateral and information needed to support lender or financial investor due diligence and understanding of the Dentons global firm, and to comply with lender financial covenants and reporting requirements. Arrange credit facilities on behalf of Dentons Group members as needed to fund capital expenditures and other investments approved by the Global Board. Arrange credit support and coordinate financing arrangements between members of the Dentons Group. Develop foreign exchange risk management policies and programmes including risk appetite definitions, cross-currency cash flows, budget rate concept, hedging strategies, use of derivatives, etc. Present and obtain approval for global treasury policies and plans through the Dentons Group management and governance process. Oversee and supervise all Dentons Group financial or capital markets activities related to the foregoing. Conduct due diligence in relation to practice expansion activities (new member integration and combinations). Work integrally with Finance team across the Dentons Group as well as internal and external subject matter experts covering international accounting, statutory / tax, legal, regulatory and related disciplines. Required experience, skills and attributes Significant experience in a comparable professional services or international banking environment. Recognised global treasury knowledge and domain expertise including in-depth understanding of financial planning and analysis, international banking, credit, capital and foreign exchange markets. Experience with multi-currency debt, structuring, capital and financial risk management projects. Familiarity with Swiss Verein or similar legal operating models. Demonstrable interpersonal and soft skills needed to manage third party relationships and service providers. Ability to credibly influence key Dentons Group stakeholders including Global Management Committee members and other senior managing partners. Ability to think creatively in solving financial problems. Language Capabilities We are a truly global law firm and as such, always welcome hearing from those with foreign language capabilities. In light of our recent combination, Mandarin language fluency would be particularly advantageous given that China is now core to our strategy.
