The Role

A brand new and innovative Mental Health partnership is seeking a CAMHS Mental Health Specialist to work within their SPA One Stop Centre in Leatherhead. This is an exciting new service that provides a managed mental health model with clinical expertise and therapeutic interventions for Children and Young People in the surrounding Surrey areas.

This is an office based role involves managing incoming calls, referrals and enquiries that have been escalated due to complexity and/or risk by our Mental Health Advisers/Assistant Psychologists. You will be expected to facilitate case flows within the service for allotted appointments, clinician advice, rapid clinical triage and professional referrals including crisis team referrals.

There are full time and part time roles available, 20- 37.5 hours per week including some weekend & evening work. The Centre is in Leatherhead with some local travel and it is operational from 8am-8pm on weekdays and from 9am-12pm Saturdays. For outstanding candidates they are offering up to GBP33,000 p/a.

The Person

You will need to have a current qualification and active registration with the appropriate governing body; HCPC, NMC or BPS. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with extensive experience of working in CAMHS services and conducting mental health triage, screenings and assessments. You will be resilient with a good knowledge of Mental health conditions, diagnoses and clinical risks. You will be a creative problem solver by providing appropriate advice and guidance, you will direct the referrer/caller to the right care pathway or service in a timely and efficient manner.

The Company

This is an exciting new venture from a community based initiative that is working jointly with the NHS to support the Mental Health needs of Children and Young People in the surrounding Surrey area. They will provide an agreed training programme in order to offer a consistent, high quality service in relation to the development of clinical triage.
