Given the project based nature of this role, project management skills such as time management, resource planning and progress reporting will be important aspects of the position. Due to the analytical nature of this role a keen ability to problem solve is essential.

Hedge Fund servicing

  • Review the daily processing of investment data in accordance with the agreed terms of service
  • Liaise with fund managers and the Administrator to reconcile any discrepancies identified
  • Request outstanding documentation from fund managers and the Administrator
  • Review NAV estimates prior to being distributed to the Investment Management team
  • Oversee the reconciliation of system records to the Administrator's records
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of the Company's Factsheet
  • Preparing and circulating a management report pack which includes performance, risk, exposure and liquidity reporting
  • Analysing performance, liquidity, exposure and risk metrics to provide the fund's management and board with clear, concise responses to ad hoc queries and requests
  • Process enhancements and bug fixes to reporting using VBA
  • Supervising the junior consultant on the team
  • Ensuring deliverables are on time and high quality
  • Providing training on new processes or technical skills

Client On boarding

  • Analyse and scope new client data files and prepare on boarding project plans
  • Liaise with department managers regarding on boarding to ensure smooth transition and understanding of client expectations
  • Preparing gap analysis of new client requests to current service and system offerings
  • Preparing new service specifications and cost benefit analysis
  • Developing bespoke solutions to meet new client requests
  • Liaising with FIS or other service providers to implement changes or process improvements needed to solution new client requests
  • Converting client data files to Investran upload templates and uploading to Investran using data import tool
  • Performing data testing and reconciliation on uploaded files to Investran
  • Developing or engaging with third party report developers to develop any custom reporting required by the client
  • Overseeing client handover to operations teams
  • Preparing on boarding project reviews for review and sign off

Product Development

  • Keep abreast of the company's product offerings across the organisation
  • Undertake client research to identify new requirements resulting from investor demands, regulatory changes and industry developments
  • Assist your line manager in conducting research of vendors, solutions and partnerships
  • Assisting in the development of project cash flow forecasts and cost/benefit analysis
  • Assist your line manager in creating new product proposals
  • Participating in new product presentations to the board
  • Assist your line manager in creating product enhancement proposals
  • Participate in product enhancement presentations to the board
  • Engaging in the preparation of product development project plans and implementation time tables
  • Undertake technical aspects of product development (including programming, report writing, system development, macro creation etc.) where possible and engage third parties elsewhere
  • Assist in the preparation of project sign off reports
  • Prepare client estimates for review by your line manager

Process Improvement

  • Engage with managers across the company to identify inefficient, labour intensive, manual or repetitive processes
  • Scope the potential time/cost savings from undertaking process improvement
  • Prepare a process improvement request for review and sign off by your line manager
  • Complete process improvement and undertake testing with the end user(s)


  • Analytical mind-set with proven ability to problem solve and work on own initiative
  • Any computer science qualification or experience would be advantageous with VBA capabilities highly desirable
  • Understanding of statics essential
  • Understanding of hedge funds and investments desirable
  • Experience of Investran or other fund accounting systems would be advantageous but not essential
  • Develop a good working knowledge of Investran and other systems used by the company
  • Develop a good working knowledge of IT systems including networking, integration, data security etc.
  • Develop an understanding of all products offered by the company including PE, Hedge Funds, Managed Accounts, AML and regulatory reporting
  • Good project management and reporting skills
  • Good time and resource management
