EMEA Head of Risk Audit

My client, a leading investment bank, are looking to appoint a new EMEA Head of Risk Audit.
The Global Risk Management Audit team has a number of subject matter experts (SMEs) with specialist knowledge of Market, Credit, and Operational Risk including related IT Data Integrity. The EMEA Head for Risk Management Audit has responsibility for managing the regional Risk Management Audit teams focused on providing assurance over the controls within the Risk Management Division, reporting to the Global Portfolio Director for Risk Management and regionally to the EMEA Head of Internal Audit.
They are looking for 3 things:
Being a key member of the risk audit function or of a Risk Management or Valuation teams in an Investment bank, the candidate should specifically have:
Experience of dealing with Senior Management, Audit Committees, Risk Committees and Regulators
- Detailed understanding of control standards and a proven ability to promptly identify the root causes and materiality of control issues;
- Detailed understanding of current and upcoming regulatory requirements impacting Risk including but not limited to Basel III, CRD IV, Stress Testing, Internal Capital Models, Dodd Frank, FRTB and SA-CCR;
- Detailed working knowledge of market, credit, model or liquidity risk management ideally gained through practitioner experience, specialisation in one of those being desirable;
- Strong leadership, management and team building skills and an ability to work across teams
